Top 11 Moments of 2011

It's the first day of 2012 and I wanna look back on the moments that made my 2011 more awesome. Here are my top 11 moments of 2011.

Top 11: Spontaneous Trip to Subic
My friends and I went on a spontaneous trip to Subic for one of our friend's birthdays. We were only there for a good 3 hours or so but I had the time of my life. We watched the sun set in the horizon while our feet were in the sand. Good times, good times.

Top 10: FPUMC's Medical Mission
Every year during our church's anniversary, we conduct a medical mission for our outreach programs. It was only this year that I was able to volunteer and practice what I've been taught in school. This was an extra special experience because I've never felt so useful and needed in my whole life. It felt as if I had found my purpose and it only strengthened my desire to be in the medical field.

Top 9: Basic Life Support Training Mass Casualty Simulation
As a culminating activity of our 5-day Basic Life Support training, RAHA volunteers organized a mass casualty event so that we could put what we've learned into practice. Due to medical limitations, I volunteered to be a victim and so I was dressed in ragged clothes, and painted on with fake blood. It was an awesome learning experience for everyone especially when the firemen decided to shower us with water from the fire truck ;) It was a party in the NRMF parking lot!

Top 8: Getting my Dirty Work Deluxe Pre-order in the mail
It was my first time pre-ordering for an album so I bought the deluxe bundle that came with a shirt ;) It was a long wait before I finally got it so you could just imagine my excitement when I came home and saw the package in my room.

Top 7: Scrubbing in for a Burr-hole Craniotomy procedure
It was my first time in the OR and it was the first ever procedure I scrubbed in for. I learned the instruments a good 30 minutes before the procedure actually started. If you didn't know, I've always wanted to be a cardiothoracic or a neurosurgeon so my hand immediately shot up when my clinical instructor asked for volunteers. ;) Of course I don't have a photo of the procedure itself but here, enjoy a few photos during my OR rotation.

Top 6: Alex DeLeon's reply via Twitter
I've been getting Singer to reply to me for the longest time and when he asked if there was someone out there he could talk to, I tweeted him a number of times before he actually replied to me. I cried when he replied back, his words mean so much. He thanked me for giving his words and music a chance when I should be the one doing the thanking. It's beyond words.

Top 5: XI & I's anniversary
Time flies by so fast indeed! I still can't believe we've been together for more than a year already! We didn't do anything special the day itself since we both had class and duty but he did get to surprise me with the huge Eeyore plushie I've wanted!

I feel like I don't need to explain the next 2 moments in my life ;) It just made my fragile fangirl heart swell with happiness!

Top 4: Getting my ATL ticket

Top 3: Getting my ticket for Smash Project
Smash Project featuring The Cab, Cobra Starship, Dashboard Confessional, and The Used! ;) Opening acts are Typecast and Chicosci! Well worth the money so purchase your tickets now because they're running out fast! ;) (Yes, nagawa ko pang mag-promote for Smash Project. Go buy your tickets to see The Cab!)

Top 2: Getting to meet All Time Low during their signing at SM North Edsa The Block & their concert
To get a low down on details of what happened that day, go read my previous post about my All Time Low experience ;)

Top 1: When Alex Gaskarth sang Remembering Sunday during their concert
Don't get me wrong, the entire concert experience was one memorable moment in my life but it was during this particular song that I felt most alive. It was one of the moments where everything just felt right, like everything was in it's proper places. It was an awesome feeling - Alex Gaskarth's glorious voice, the crowd singing along and their voices resounding from the walls of the coliseum. It was beyond words.

Well, that ends my 11 most memorable moments of 2011. Hoping for more memorable moments in 2012! ;) Cheers to the new year!
