Keep Calm and Defend the Faith

I'm listening to the new record for the second time as I'm typing this out and I love it. I knew I'll love it the moment they announced their comeback with My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark. Much needs to be said about the genius of Fall Out Boy and the four men behind it but I lack the sense to put words together to form a beautiful soliloquy so I'll put it this way - this album was definitely worth the wait.

It's obvious how much heart went into this album and how much they've grown. Yes, it's a totally different Fall Out Boy and haters and so called fans can shut their mouths about how they don't like how they've changed. We all change and grow up eventually. You don't expect an artist to make the same music throughout their career, right?

If you were to ask me how I felt about this album I'd answer AKGHJSKDGKSDJHGLSKJHGKSJGDLAHDGKLAJHF back. I don't know why I even bothered to write this blog because it's pointless and all I want to do is keysmash my way into describing my feels for each song. It's weird listening to the album and being able to actually understand what Patrick is saying. Also, what happened to the obnoxiously long song titles? I hate and love this band at the same time. I don't know how that's possible but it is. They've always been my number one and they've proven themselves yet again  with this album why I love them so much (not that they needed to, anyway). I fucking love Peter and his deep twisted lyrics. It's what made me love them in the first place.

I can't possibly pick a favorite right now because I love the album too much but Save Rock and Roll, The Phoenix, and Young Volcanoes are my top 3 at the moment. It's been to long a wait so I can't wait to finally have the record in my hands! Counting down the days to April 16th!

You may listen to the entire record below if you haven't yet!
