The Road Ahead

Yesterday, I finally took oath for my chosen profession. Better late than never, as they say. I still can't believe it's been more than a year since I graduated and passed the board exam Being there in my nursing uniform and listening to my professor's speech made me look at where I am now and how I'm doing. She talked about self-fulfillment and how we won't achieve it unless we pursue our chosen profession.

The past two months with Riofil has been busy and tiring but on top of it all, it was fun. It's more than someone can ask for for their first employment. The company has made me feel comfortable - like I fit right in and that I'm needed. Listening to my professor made me regret declining an offer for employment at an hospital just a tad bit though and made me think if it was the right decision I made. Now I realize that it was but it makes me think of the road ahead. I know I can't stay in Riofil forever and that I will always miss the feel of making a difference in other people's lives by helping them get better but for now, I am more than happy where I am. These things will come with time, I'm sure.

I barely blog so follow my social networks to keep track of me. Links are found in my sidebar ;)
