08/02/12

Today is my boyfriend's 21st birthday but I wasn't able to go to his place because I had a fever when I woke up plus I couldn't get out of bed because my scoliosis decided to punish me as well. So I spent the day mostly in bed with my laptop and a few hours were spent texting and watching TV. The day was uneventful up until a few hours ago.

If you still haven't heard, I started this Twitition with my friend Lara because we needed the producers to notice how many fans wanted a pop-up show for The Cab. We're not asking for anything fancy - all we need is the boys, their music, and the fans will show up. So far, so good. In under 3 days, we managed to get 500 signatures.

It's an overwhelming response, I know. I'm thankful and proud of everyone who are pushing this cause with us. We're currently at 544 signatures and I believe we've hit the plateau. I'm not giving up though - I will admit that sometimes I want to give up and I say to myself "this number isn't bad maybe it's enough" but NO. I WILL NOT GIVE UP. This is the least I can do for all the fans out there that hasn't been able to buy tickets to see them on September 18th. This is the least I can do for the band, as well.

This blog post from Ouverture PH just solidified everything for me. I am touched that someone would want to write about our cause and think that it's a good idea as well.

Everything that has been happening with regards to this Twitition has and is continuing to overwhelm me. I have so many emotions that I want to write about but I'm afraid I won't do them justice as I am not gifted with the words. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has signed and who has helped us. You taking the time to sign might have just helped a number of people.
