I'm back with yet another concert to blog about but before that, I'd like to point out a few obvious changes in this blog. If you've been here before, you'd know it was white and gray but I've gotten so sick of it I decided to go dark. I've switched up my header from the hand painted bartskull to a photo of this lovely band and the crowd during it's ATC show. I've also edited and put up my about page!
So that's that. Where was I? Oh, right. The concert blog.
Remember that time I told you about the Twitition I started for The Cab? Well, it was heard and we were given not just one show but three. You could imagine my happiness the moment I found out but I assure you what you're imagining isn't even half of what I felt. All three shows were held at an Ayala Mall - Trinoma, Alabang Town Center, and Glorietta. I was lucky enough to go to the first two. I was slightly sad I wasn't able to go to their last show because 1, it's their last show and; 2, a lot of fellow fans I was looking forward to meet were going to that show. Aside from that, everything was more than good. You don't get the chance to see one of your favorite bands twice in a row (thrice in a week, if you count the Maroon 5 show) often when you live in the Philippines so that fact alone makes me feel blessed.
The experience was unlike any other and to be completely honest, it still feels surreal when I think about those two nights I've seen them perform. This band, no scratch that, these people along with their words and their music has done so much to my life I can't even begin to explain it in words. They've given me the inspiration to do more and be more - to live louder, fight harder, love stronger as they so aptly put it. They've given me motivation when I lacked it, especially when I was to the point of giving up. They've given me lovely people who I am blessed to call friends, some of whom live on the different side of the world. It's a ridiculous feeling when you get to hear your favorite songs live and see some of your favorite people do what they do best on that stage. Even more ridiculous when you see them smile when the entire crowd sings along and you know you've done something to make them feel that happy. I've lost my voice from singing to every single song during those two shows. I had body aches from falling in line for a few hours, getting pushed against a barricade, jumping, and dancing along to most of the songs. I've met the sweetest fans and had the chance to talk to the boys as well so I wouldn't take anything back. Not one bit.
To be told that this is one their favorite places to do a show or that they know they've got a great support system here is something else. It makes me feel like I've done some right helping with the street team or something close to that. Two of my favorite things that has been said about Manila would have to be:
We could’ve taken off-days, but we said, why take them when we can play more shows in front of amazing crowds? The Manila fans deserve that from us. - Alex DeLeon (x)
I'm proud to say the week we had off we dedicated to performing for some of our best fans... Manila. - Joey Thunder (x)Ridiculous how I can feel things I never thought I could just because of one

PS. For the nth time, I would like to thank everyone who helped us push the Twitition and everyone who has made this happen for me and for all the Filipino Soldiers. Eternally grateful to every single one of you.
